When you register a domain, the WHOIS information associated with it, by rule, becomes instantly exposed to the public eye. In the Domain Manager built into your Control Panel, you will find a WHOIS protection functionality that can help you mask your private details by replacing them with our contact info.

The WHOIS protection option is available with most of the top–level domain names offered on our web sute: .com, .info, .biz, .net, .org, .co, .co.za, .me, .tv, .pro, .cc.

When registering a domain name, you will be required to give correct and up–to–the–minute registration information, regardless of whether you are an individual or a firm. This is the reason why, you’ll have to update your WHOIS details whenever needed. Yet, not all top–level domain name extensions support this feature by default, so first check for this option prior to attempting a WHOIS update.

From the Domain Manager in your Control Panel, you will be able to change the registrant, admin and technical contact information for one or multiple domain names at once. All the modifications that you have made will be reflected live immediately!

With our Domain Manager, you’ll be able to effortlessly manage a lot of domains from one single location. You’ll get access to a rich array of DNS controls and will be able modify numerous domains at once.

You’ll be able to park an active domain name by pointing it to one of our two domain name parking themes – For Sale or Under Construction. The domain parking procedure is really easy and will take effect right away. You’ll be able to park as many domain names as you want. And if you need to un–park the domain – you can perform this operation with merely a mouse click.

You can also tweak our two domain name parking themes using custom images and messages in order to make them more unique.

The Domain Manager is an indispensable part of our web hosting Control Panel and includes all the features that you need in order to administer your domains. It features an intuitive interface through which you can alter DNS resource records, update WHOIS data, lock your domain or create sub–domain names with merely a click of the mouse.

Through the Domain Manager tool you could also purchase additional services such as Whois Privacy Protection and SSLs.

With the Wildcard DNS feature, you will be able to make all your subdomains redirect to the index page of your site. For example, when someone enters smth.domain.com or any.domain.com, they will visit http://domain.com/.

You may need the Wildcard DNS feature for a multisite application like WordPress or Joomla^™ Multi–Site.

To activate a wildcard domain name, navigate to the Domain Manager section of your Control Panel and push the Add Host button located on the right. At the bottom of the options list, you will see the Wildcard Domain check box.

With Mid Georgia Hosting, you will be able to easily protect your domain name from being transferred away without your consent by "locking" it at your current registrar. This won’t affect the way the domain name behaves in any respect whatsoever, but will momentarily stop all domain transfer requests.

In case you need to transfer your domain name, you can simply unlock it. Locking/Unlocking a domain is pretty simple and comes down to only one click of the mouse.

The domain redirection tool that’s incorporated into Mid Georgia Hosting’s web hosting Control Panel enables you to forward a domain or a sub–domain in your account to another web site of your choosing. All you have to do is specify the host you need to redirect and the preferred destination path itself. Our system will take care of the redirection procedure and your domain name will start to point to the new location instantly.

This tool has a user–friendly interface, so you can forward a desired domain or sub–domain with merely a few mouse clicks instead of making elaborate modifications to the .htaccess file.
